يشدد الأطباء على عدم م*اولة إخراج أي جسم غريب من أذن الطفل ،تفاديا"ل*دوث ثقب في طبلة الأذن أما إذا دخلت *شرة في أذنه،فيمكن عندها جعل الطفل يجلس بشكل تكون فيه أذنه المعنية إلى أعلى،ثم وضع منشفة على كتفه وسكب ماء فاتر بلطف في أّذنه كي تطفو ال*شرة وتخرج

إن وضع الثلج على ال*رق مباشرة ،يمكن أن يؤدي إلى تعرض الطفل للسعة الجليد ممايزيد من تفاقم ال*الة ،ولتبريد المنطقة المصابة يجب وضعها ت*ت الماء البارد أو إستخدام ضمادات باردة لل*د من الورم
