هو : الص*ابي الجليل , صعصعة بن صو*ان ابن *جر بن ال*ارث بن الهجري بن صبره بن *درجان العبدي ,من عبد قيس , والهجري نسبة إلى منطقة هجر ( الا*ساء ) *ديثآ وقيل من القطيف .

كان شجاعآ فصي*آ متكلمآ *اظر الذهن , وهو من *واري الأمام علي ابن ابي طالب ( رضي ) هاجر الى الب*رين , بسبب ملا*قت الأمويين له , وتوفي هناك .

له قبر معروف في جزيرة عسكر في مملكة الب*رين .

توفي سنة 60 للهجرة .
