هو : عمر بن مختار بن عمر ,

ينسب إلى قبيلة المنفه إ*دى كبريات قبائل المرابطين ببرقة , ولد عام 1862 م

عين شيخ لزاوية عين كلك ليقضي فترة من *ياته معلمآ و مبشرآ بالأسلام في تلك الاصقاع النائية .

شارك في الجهاد ضد الفرنسيين , ثم قاد *رب الجهاد و الت*رير ضد الإيطاليين .

تم اعدامه شنقآ من قبل الإيطاليين في 3 / 5 / 1350 هجرية / 16 / 9 / 1931 م
